INGREDIENTI:
una torta margherita senza glutine
Per la crema chantilly

50 g farina senza glutine
4 tuorli
500 ml latte
250 ml panna
montata
150 g zucchero a velo
2 bustine di vanillina
un pizzico di sale
Per decorare
100 g panna montata
fragole
banane

ENGLISH VERSION:

Last Monday was the my husband's birthday, opportunity to prepare a nice cake to eat all together to celebrate the event.
The choice fell on a beautiful daisy cake stuffed with chantilly cream and strawberries.
I know, strawberries are not in season, but my husband loves this kind of cakes, so...

STRAWBERRIES AND CHANTILLY CREAM BIRTHDAY CAKE

INGREDIENTS:
a gluten free daisy cake
For chantilly cream
50 g gluten-free flour
4 egg yolks
500 ml milk
250 ml whipped cream
150g icing sugar
2 bags of vanillin
a pinch of salt
To decorate
100 g whipped cream
strawberries
bananas

Heat the milk on a low flame.
Meanwhile, mount the egg yolks with sugar until frothy.
Incorporate the sifted flour, a pinch of salt and vanillin.
Later dilute with hot milk, adding it slowly.
Cook in moderate heat and allow the cream to boil for a few minutes, continuing to mix well to prevent the formation of lumps.
When it is thickened, remove from heat, pour into a bowl and leave to cool, stirring occasionally.
Once cold, gently incorporate whipped cream.
Cut the cake in half and stuff with 3/4 of cream and some strawberries cut into cubes.
Recompose the cake, cover with the remaining cream (I used one molds that create a small groove, perfect for getting cream and fruit!), then decorate with fruit and whipped cream.

INGREDIENTI:
1 panetto di pasta sfoglia senza glutine
300 g cuori di carciofo surgelati
125 g mozzarella
150 g prosciutto cotto a fette
3 uova
200 ml latte
3-4 cucchiai di grana padano grattugiato
sale
pepe

I don't know why, but lately I irrepressibly want to eat artichokes: in first courses, as a side dish...
This is the reason of this recipe: a quiche that I really liked.

Some time ago I bought to myself a wonderful gift: this book.
So...it's really fantastic!
To start I chose a quite easy recipe, but very successful. These coconut biscuits are really fabulous!

COCONUT MACAROONS by Nigella Lawson

INGREDIENTS for 40 macaroons:
3 eggs whites

1/4 teaspoon of cream of tartar

100 g caster sugar

30 g ground almond

a pinch of salt

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
250 g shredded coconut

Preheat the oven to 170 °C.
Beat the eggs whites until frothy (no more), then add the cream of tartar and carry on beating, missus, until soft peaks are formed.
Add the sugar a teaspoon at a time and whisk until the peacks can hold their shape and are shiny.
Fold in the almonds, salt, vanilla and coconut.
The mixture will be sticky but should, all the same, hold its shape when clumped together.
Form into walnut-sized domes.
Don't make them too flat.
Cook for 15-18 minutes or until they're just beginning to turn golden in parts.

With this recipe I partecipate to Foodblogga's "Eat Christmas Cookies - Season 2".

Buon appetito!

ENGLISH VERSION:

After a lot of sweet recipes, today I propose a very simple but very pleasing first course.
I like very much salmon eggs, both for their strong taste and for their particular consistency.
Beacuse of their strong taste, I wanted to match something delicate... as this spinach pesto.
Pesto doses are approximate, find you the right amount according to your taste.

TAGLIATELLE WITH SPINACH PESTO AND SALMON EGGS
